Seventy-Six Falls
Albany, KY
|
Click photo to visit Hidden Treasures page for a history of the Falls.
|
Indian Creek flows through Clinton County, Kentucky, before plummeting over 76 Falls into Lake Cumberland,
one of the largest and most popular reservoirs in the Southeast. This large, deep lake has been able to sustain heavy recreational
use - such as boating, fishing and swimming - without significant degradation of water quality. In fact, this watershed is
an essential source of clean drinking water for the town of Albany.
